SB1FM BANNED FROM SPACEBATTLES

In a dramatic turn of events, administrators of Spacebattles.com have banned members of  I.C.B.M (formerly SB1FM) as punishment for their ill-advised invasion of B5tech.com. Reminiscent of the attacks launched from ASVS against Spacebattles in late May, the incursion of this extremist faction from SB stirred up a hornets nest on both sides of the net.

In particular, the Enforcer of B5Tech, found no humor whatsoever in the attacks.
I have already done some mass banning of all who were part of the attack. I have also contacted their web space provider (Geocities) and discussion forum provider (EZ Board) about their actions and violations. I will be contacting the admins at Spacebattles about removing them from that site as well and Network 54 to see if we can recover any of the lost threads and prevent this from happening again.
If their attacks continue I may be forced t contact their ISP's regarding their behavior (as many have policies against this type of action). If the attacks continue after that, we or N54 may be forced to take legal actions.

Johan Alm, owner of SB, was quick to try and remedy the problem at his end.
We have the IP's of the people of spammed the b5tech board. Once we have ironed out the innocent people, we will take actions against those who have been found guilty.
I would like to point out that no moderator, super mod or admin has been found using any of the offending IP's.

So far, five Spacebattle members have been banned.

Johan added a short time later that the ban was not necessarily permanent, but was adopting a wait and see attitude. When he was questioned whether the ban was appropriate given was occurs on a regular basic in the Vs. boards he replied, They wrecked a board posting nonsense, with the result that all previous discussions were lost.  And because they did it in the name of SB, there needs to be a reaction. You are free to have your own opinion, but I don't give a damn if you feel it's right or wrong.

Shortly before the invasion, there were talks of an alliance between the Anti-Troll Jihad, Disciples of Wong, and the ICBM. However, long standing feuds between the groups and basic ideological differences prevented this from cementing. They may seem to support the same things at first but I did some digging and found that they are enemies with the Disciples of Wong. Any alliance with them would make us alot of enemies,  said Anakha of ICBM. Thus, no citizen of ASVS was involved in the attacks on B5tech.

Follow the banning, the ICBM issued this statement:
Our new site is starting to come online. Our separation from Spacebattles is complete. I, Anakha and several of my friends and fellow militia-men were banned from there over our recent campaign against B5Tech (A total victory I might add). I and many others view this as a complete and utter power-trip on the part of Johan (the sites administrator) and some overly zealous moderators. Spacebattles.com hadn't one damn thing to do with that war, and yet they treat it like they do.

In a related development, Big Steve announced the formation of another group:
The formation of the Spacebattles Defense Force is complete. Unlike the Spacebattles First Freeman's Militia, which is supposedly undergoing a name change, the SBDF is committed to peace and defensive anti-flaming/anti-trolling tactics. We condemn the mass spam bombing of B5tech.com's message board by SB1FM. We offer a non-aggression pact to the DoW and ASVS in general.

Boyd Clones Sighted

Around the world, the alarm had been sounded as more members of the Boyd Collective have been reported to be surfacing. Previously regarded as a hoax, the Boyd Collective is now being seen as a legitimate threat to world security. Bowing to Congressional pressure, the NSA has just released the following un-doctored photo which show that the U.S. government has been aware of the threat for some time.

More insidious is the revelation that the Boyd Collective has begun assimilating members of ASVS. The first victim identified has been Kynes, a long avowed mortal enemy of the Collective. By this method, the Collective removes an obstacle while at the same time adds to their numbers. The discovery came when Kynes relinquished the "Hat of Power" to showcase his new hair cut.

It would seem that it is only a matter of time before the Boyd Collective makes it's move to wrest control of first ASVS and then the world. As of this writing, there has been no official reaction from the current leadership of ASVS to address this situation.

Tim Ness is Owned

In a report gathered from alt.2600, Tim Ness (aka Cock Rocket) has apparently lost his AOL account (most likely that of his parents). Shortly after his name and address were posted on ASVS and the subsequent mass kill-filing, he attempted to troll alt.2600 in the same manner that he did in ASVS.

Unfortunately for him , the denizens of that group were not as "kind and forgiving" as those here. Immediately, they began to delve into the history of Cock Rocket. They came upon a reference to ASVS-HN and used that information to begin tracking him down. Initially, they began down the wrong track, but a helpful e-mail from a concerned citizen (Gee, I wonder who?) put them square on the mark.

For two days they led him along, giving him all the rope required to hang himself. Then, when he cross-posted through Deja someone's personal info soliciting sex and falsely complained to people's ISP, it was all over.

His e-mail is now invalid and his webpage no longer exists. Please bow your head for a moment of silence.....
